BLOCKLODE — Privacy Policy
Publisher: Clerk Interactive • Effective date: 6 September 2026 • Contact: dev@clerkinteractive.com
This Privacy Policy explains how BLOCKLODE (the "Game"), published by Clerk Interactive ("we", "us"), handles information when you play it on Android and iOS devices.
1. Summary
- We do not ask for your name, email address, account, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location, and we do not operate our own servers for the Game.
- The Game is free and shows advertising provided by Google AdMob: a banner on menus and result screens (never over a live board), occasional full-screen ads between rounds, and rewarded videos you choose to watch. To serve and measure ads, Google's SDK collects certain device and advertising data described in section 3.
- The Game offers optional in-app purchases — three one-off coin packs, processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. There are no subscriptions. We never see your payment details.
- We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the Game is played (for example how many rooms are completed) so we can improve it.
- Where the law requires it (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, and certain US states), the Game asks for your consent or offers an opt-out before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time (section 6). On iOS the system App Tracking Transparency prompt lets you allow or refuse tracking.
- Your progress and settings are stored only on your device and are removed when you uninstall the Game or use Reset progress in Settings (section 7).
2. Data stored on your device
Game progress (scores, room and level progress, tutorial completion, language and sound settings, coins, gems, chest collection, unlocked stone sets, any ad-free period, daily streak and trophies, and the count of finished rounds used to space out ads) is saved locally using the platform's standard app storage. We never receive this data. Reset progress in the Game's Settings erases all progress except the tutorial flag; uninstalling the Game deletes everything.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Game uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). When an ad is requested, Google may collect and process, on its own behalf, information such as: your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA, where permitted), IP address and approximate (coarse) location derived from it, device type, operating system version, language, app package name, ad interaction data (impressions, clicks, whether a rewarded video was completed) and diagnostic data about the ad request. Google uses this data to serve, measure and, where you have consented, personalise ads, and to detect fraud.
This processing is governed by Google's privacy policy and advertising policies:
policies.google.com/privacy and
policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
We do not receive personal data from Google; we only see aggregated ad-performance reports.
4. Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
Firebase Analytics records pseudonymous usage events — the app being opened, a mode being started, a room or level finished, a daily bonus claimed, an ad watched, a purchase made — together with a random app-instance identifier, device model, OS version, country derived from IP address and, where permitted, the advertising identifier. It never receives your name, email or any account data, because the Game has none. We use it only in aggregate, to see which modes are played and where players stop, so we can improve the Game.
Where consent is required (EEA, UK, Switzerland), analytics collection starts switched off and is enabled only after you agree in the same dialog that governs ads; withdrawing consent switches it off again. Firebase's handling of data is described at firebase.google.com/support/privacy; Google deletes user-level analytics data after at most 14 months.
5. In-app purchases
The Game sells three one-off coin packs. Purchases are made through Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase: Google or Apple process the payment and hold your billing details, and we receive only a confirmation that the product was bought so the Game can grant the coins. There are no subscriptions and nothing renews. Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their own policies.
Removing ads is not sold for money: it is bought with in-game coins, in periods of one day, one week or one month, and is stored on your device as an expiry date.
6. Your choices
- Ad consent (EEA / UK / Switzerland): the consent form is shown on first launch. To review or change your choice, open Settings → Privacy options in the Game. The same choice governs analytics collection.
- US residents (California and other states with privacy laws): you may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising through the same Settings → Privacy options screen, which shows the applicable notice. We do not sell personal information ourselves; the choice controls Google's ad personalisation.
- iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking lets you allow or refuse tracking for the Game at any time.
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads lets you reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of ads personalisation.
- Deleting your data: see section 7 below.
7. Deleting your data
BLOCKLODE, published by Clerk Interactive, has no user accounts and no servers of our own, so there is no account to close. You can remove your data yourself, at any time, in one of these ways:
- Delete your game data but keep the Game: open Settings (the gear icon on the mode selection screen) and tap Reset progress. This erases your scores, level progress, coins, gems, chest collection, stone sets, daily streak, trophies and preferences from the device.
- Delete everything: uninstall the Game. This removes the entire local save, including the tutorial flag and any ad-free period.
- Delete your advertising identifier: Android — Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID. iOS — Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and turn off tracking for the Game.
- Ask us: email dev@clerkinteractive.com with the subject "Data deletion — BLOCKLODE". We reply within 30 days. Because we hold no personal data about you, our reply will confirm that and tell you exactly which of the steps above removes what.
What is deleted, and what is kept
- Deleted by you, immediately: everything the Game stores on your device — progress, scores, coins, gems, chest collection, unlocked stone sets, daily streak, trophies, settings, ad pacing counters and any ad-free period.
- Held by us: nothing. We operate no servers for the Game and receive no personal data; ad and analytics reporting reaches us only as aggregated totals that cannot identify a device or a person.
- Held by Google for analytics: Firebase Analytics data is pseudonymous (a random app-instance id, no account). Reinstalling the Game issues a new id, and Google deletes user-level analytics data after at most 14 months. We cannot look up or delete an individual player's analytics record because nothing ties it to a person.
- Held by Google for advertising: data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK (advertising ID, IP address, ad interactions, diagnostics) is processed by Google as an independent controller and retained under Google's privacy policy. Deleting or resetting your advertising ID, and using Google My Ad Center, are the controls that apply to it. We cannot delete it on your behalf.
- Held by Google Play or Apple for purchases: if you bought a coin pack, the store keeps the transaction record for as long as its own tax, refund and accounting rules require. Neither we nor you can delete it; contact Google Play or Apple support for anything relating to a purchase.
8. Children
The Game is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; ad requests are made in accordance with Google's policies. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Google and Apple may process the data described above on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under their own safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
10. App store platforms
Google Play and the Apple App Store may collect aggregate install, purchase or crash statistics under their own privacy policies; this is controlled by Google and Apple, not by us.
11. Changes
If a future update changes how the Game handles data, this policy will be updated and the effective date above revised before that update is released.
